• Helps effectively treat acute or chronic diarrhoea.
• Aids in normalizing muscle contractions of the intestine.
• Helps make the stools more solid.
• Assists in slowing down the frequency of bowel movements.
• Diarrhoea is a common condition that is caused by a lot of reasons. No matter what causes your diarrhoea, here is a list of symptoms that you can expect when you experience it:
  • frequent, loose, watery stools
  • abdominal cramps
  • abdominal pain
  • fever
  • blood in the stool
  • bloating

Ingredients:

Loperamide Hydrochloride

How to use it:

• Take an initial dose of 2 Imodium caplets.
• Then follow it by 1 capsule or caplet after each loose unformed stool as needed.

Warnings:

• Do not give to children below 12 years old.
• Do not take IMODIUM if:
  • you have an allergy to IMODIUM or any of the ingredients listed
  • you are constipated, or have to avoid becoming constipated
  • you have severe diarrhoea with blood in the stools or fever
  • you have inflammation of the lower bowels (for example, ulcerative colitis or pseudomembranous colitis as a result of using antibiotics)
  • you are breast-feeding
  • the packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering
• Do not use IMODIUM after the expiry date (month and year) printed on the pack. If you take IMODIUM after the expiry date it may not work.
• Before you start to take it, you must tell your doctor or pharmacist if you:
  • are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
  • are breastfeeding
  • have or have ever had liver disease
  • have kidney disease
  • have AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome)
  • have glaucoma (high pressure in the eye)
  • have bladder problems
  • regularly drink a lot of alcohol.
