how we help with Conjunctivitis Treatment
Conjunctivitis Treatment
All of our pharmacists are trained to assess and treat bacterial conjunctivitis (commonly known as “pink eye”) and minor eyelid infections such as styes.
Typical symptoms include redness, irritation, and a sticky discharge from the eye. If appropriate, our pharmacists can supply the antibiotic Chloramphenicol in either eye drop or ointment form for adults and children aged 2 years and over.
If you wear contact lenses and develop conjunctivitis while wearing them, it’s important to see your doctor or optometrist instead. Contact lens–related infections can sometimes indicate a more serious condition that requires a different type of treatment.
No appointment is needed — simply visit the pharmacy and our trained team will help determine the best course of action for you.
